Habitat for Humanity-Greater Columbus does at least one "Faith Build" a year: Building on Faith. Faith builds are ecumenical ventures to rally the faith community into a singular cooperative project. Faith based groups are invited to help on this build to get a taste of what Greater Columbus Habitat for Humanity is all about.
Our focus is on church partnerships as we step out in faith to do more than we ever dreamed possible. We invite any interested congregation to help us out and be involved. This is a great hands-on ministry for individuals to learn new skills and to fellowship with others in the community. Congregations have the opportunity to bring groups of up to 15 people to work from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on any Saturday during the construction cycle for the Building on Faith house. Congregations can sign up to provide construction workers, lunches, or devotions - or any combination of the three.

"Homeownership is vital. There is self-reliance; there is security; there is pride that comes in ownership; there is prosperity for the family; there is stability of neighborhoods, economic growth. There are benefits for children..."
Donald Haurin, Professor of Economics, Finance, and Public Policy
Ohio State University, from his lecture "The Private & Social Benefits of Homeownership"
