Partnerships with Habitat For Humanity-Greater Columbus can take many forms, whether it is as building materials suppliers, media sponsors, volunteers, congregations, or homebuyers. Each individual who contributes something to our organization helps in our efforts to eliminate substandard housing. Our organization also gives a visible sense of accomplishment to these groups and individuals. The following are some of the numerous benefits that our volunteers and families experience when they partner with Habitat For Humanity:
Transform Lives
By helping them build their home you help them become permanent community members through home ownership, thus strengthening the neighborhood, community and city. Because our volunteers work alongside families, you can experience first-hand the difference you are making in their lives.
Develop and Stabilize Communities
Building a new home in a community often has a residual effect. Other neighboring homes are influenced to maintain and develop their properties. Habitat neighborhoods nationally have experienced reduced crime and increased development.
Develop Leadership
Building an entire house provides a unique teambuilding and problem-solving environment for many groups of volunteers. Habitat has a positive reputation nationally as an organization that truly helps people and communities recognize sponsors and volunteers as being positive role models through their involvement with Habitat.
Make a Global Impact
When you help build a house here in Columbus, you help build two houses in Central Africa Republic. 3,000 Habitat Affiliates have built more than 200,000 homes worldwide |

"Homeownership is vital. There is self-reliance; there is security; there is pride that comes in ownership; there is prosperity for the family; there is stability of neighborhoods, economic growth. There are benefits for children..."
