Face the housing crisis.
Nearly 2 billion people around the world live in slum housing and over 100 million are homeless. Families are trapped in a daily struggle to survive amid substandard and often inhuman living conditions.
Help provide simple, decent shelter.
We believe that every man, woman, and child should have a safe and affordable place to live. While building homes is central to our mission, it’s only one piece of the puzzle. You can help Habitat for Humanity-Greater Columbus by advocating for us in the following ways:
Take Action: Speak Up on Affordable Housing for Families
With the worst economic crisis in generations upon us, more and more families will face tough times finding a place to live. In the current economic climate, housing programs, including those that support Habitat for Humanity, are particularly important to the financial security of families and communities. Act today to ensure more, not fewer, families have a chance at affordable housing. Please write President Obama and ask him to keep funding vital housing programs for low-income families.

Take action now. Help us advocate to change the systems, policies, attitudes, and institutional behaviors that lead to inadequate housing and homelessness.
