Committee/Planning Support

Steering Committee - meets bi-monthly to monthly - defines the overall goals and provides a strategy for achieving the goals, determines the need for additional committees, provides oversight for project:

Fundraising Committee - meets bi-monthly to monthly - more frequently at start-up, plans specific activities to achieve fundraising goals, establishes and approaches potential sponsors, reports to steering committee

Events

Events Coordinator - time commitment heavy before/during event - takes responsibility for organizing a special event (or group of events), utilizes events volunteers, reports to steering committee

Events Volunteer - variable time commitment - provides logistical support for events, lends a helping hand as needed, general event support

Construction Support

Crew Leads - each construction day requires 2-5 leads - will be asked to lead crews of 5-6 volunteers on a construction task for the day. The house leader will explain the finer points of the task to you when the day begins and be available for questions throughout the day.

Support Crew - occasionally on during construction time - provides support for construction crews, organizes signup/waivers, lunch provisions, and may coordinate with Habitat Office to incorporate additional volunteer groups on specific dates

Construction Crew - Saturdays between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm - willing to contribute to the build in some way with which you are comfortable (measuring, snap chalk lines, nail, saw, climb a ladder, work on a roof, shovel dirt or snow, carry building materials, sweep dirt, caulk, install insulation, swing a sledgehammer, laugh, and re-do mistakes)

Public Relations/Liaison

Orientation Representative - The 1st Saturday of the Month 9:30-12 - represents Women Build after the home tour, answers questions about Women build, training available

Liaison - variable time commitment - represents the Women Build Project at various community events, training available

General Support

Office Support - variable time commitment - help in general office duties as needed

Helping Hands Volunteer - variable time commitment - responds to help with various needs

Video/Photographer - a few hours a month - take pictures and/or video at the build site and special events as determined by the events coordinator

Scrapbookers - as much as you would like - help Women Build to archive the previous builds and maintain a scrapbook (in paper and online)
