Volunteer at the ReStore! 

Pick-up Crew:  (High Priority!)  Pick up donations from homes and businesses with our 16 foot box truck (drives like a U-Haul).  Crews consist of 2 volunteers.  Routes typically run Monday-Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Please sign up one week in advance so that we may schedule the route around our volunteers.  This is a great way to see the beautiful city of Columbus. 

General Store Aid (anytime Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm):  Work alongside our staff as we take care of the day to day business of running the ReStore.  Tasks include: accepting donations, reorganizing store sections, assisting customers, etc.  A new experience every day! 

We work well with groups!  We can work with volunteer groups as large as 25.  If you have a group that would like to volunteer, contact us to schedule. 

Store Construction: Help build displays, carts, racks, walls, etc. for use in the ReStore.

Group Leadership: If you are familiar with the operations of the ReStore you can become a group leader!  These leaders assist the staff in directing service groups that volunteer. 

Deconstruction:  Remove materials from a site planned for demolition.  This is the most direct way to prevent building supplies waste.  Remove things like cabinets, countertops, appliances, trim, light fixtures, etc.  Projects planned on an “as-needed” basis.
